LingZhi, (also known as Ganoderma Lucidum or Reishi) belongs to Aphyllophorales> Polyporaceae> Ganodermataceae> Ganoderma class. There are more than 150 species spread wide over the world and over 90 species found in China, which grow in Shanxi, Jilin, Zhejiang, Yunnan, Guizhou Sichuan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian & Taiwan. Lingzhi is composed of 2 sections: the mycelia & the granules. And the granules, which are the source of the nutrients are protected by the cornified mycelia. According to the ancient Chinese Medicine books, "Hon-wu sub-chapters" published in Hon Dynasty and "Bao Chao Gang Moo" by Li Shi-jan in Ming Dynasty, Lingzhi was classified in "superior grade" - the medicine without any health affection no matter how long and how much it is taken.
